First Combat

We got in Manilla 25th of Apri 1945 for two weeks, from there we went to Bagio, We immediately went out on patrol north of Bagio. i was in charge of getting ammunition up this big mountain, when i got to the top, our men was pinned down and had to stay dug in the rest of the night we was out for 17 days. I can recall going down to the ocean and getting on a ship taking amphibious training, then the atomic bomb was drop on Japan. we went into Japan on 25th of sep. 1945 and was at an army base the Japanese had near Himeji

Worst Mmemory

Having diarrhea in the middle of the night when we were pinned down

Final Comments

Got back in the states Dec. 31st 1945 and spent new years in Seattle Washington
