I am writing a book about the battle of Hamel and am writing in the hope of getting in contact with any of the descendents of soldiers from the 131st and 132nd Infantry Regiments from the 33rd US Division who took part in this battle on 4th July 1918.

I have made contact with several individuals in Australia who are related to Australian soldiers who fought t Hamel and I am in the process of establishing contact with families of the British tank crews.

My book tells the story of the Hamel battle and includes the biographical tributes to the men who took part including their photographs.
