From Son Peter Holman: My father was the last
commanding officer of the 123rd Field Artillery Battalion - Col. Harlan K.
Holman. He graduated from West Point Military Academy in 1938 and served in
both North Africa and the Philippines. I believe he must have succeeded Col.
Brown after his death.
What follows is a portion of a recording conducted with Harlan describing his
military history. The audio file picks up in Africa and ends in Japan.
